Psalm 32

In Bible study with the wonderful Rachel McAlvey we have been going through Kathleen Nielson's reflections on the Psalms. Tonight's is Psalm 32. After hiking the switchback down from Jackson Graveyard, Katie read it aloud for us on the boulder right before the sun set. If you have a chance go and read the whole thing (here's a link.) David reminds me that holding in my need for forgiveness will hurt me more than confession to God who forgives my sin and covers my iniquities. I rest in the knowledge that God is my hiding place.

 ⁶ Therefore let everyone who is godly
   offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found;
surely in the rush of great waters,
   they shall not reach him.
⁷ You are a hiding place for me;
   you preserve me from trouble;
   you surround me with shouts of deliverance.
                         Selah
